In response to the war and the widespread mobilization of reservists, the National Insurance Institute, the Ministry of Defense, and the General Accountant at the Ministry of Finance have reached an agreement to pay for the reserve service period in early November, rather than at the end of the service period as was done until now.

In normal circumstances, and also today, the self-employed will continue to receive the payment automatically, a few days after receiving the approval from the IDF. Citizens who are not employed and students who until now would receive the payment at the end of the year if they did not submit a claim, will now receive it automatically without submitting a claim at the beginning of the month.

Employees who in normal circumstances receive the payment in their regular salary and the employer receives refunds from the National Insurance Institute at the end of the service period. However, in order to assist employers during this period, they will be able to submit a request to receive refunds for payment of the payment to employees immediately, provided that they pay the amount to reserve service members in advance.

The move was created as a result of cooperation and synchronization between the National Insurance Institute and the Ministry of Defense, which will transfer records of the servers for the purpose of providing the benefit at the beginning of the month. In addition, the General Accountant at the Treasury was a partner in the process and enabled the payments to be made in this way, which amount to billions of shekels.

The National Insurance Institute requests to clarify that they expect large employers, without cash flow difficulties such as: banks, large companies - not to burden the system and give priority to small and medium-sized businesses, out of a sense of responsibility and social solidarity, especially during this time.
